my hormone balancing Matcha latte
If you have been following me you know how much I just love matcha. I have one every morning. Many of you have asked so here is the recipe for it:
-1 teaspoon ceremonial grade matcha. Be very careful with that! the brighter the green the better the quality. If it looks very sad green and smells like grass then keep it for your vulinary creations, cakes and biscuits.
I use many different brands from time to time this is an example of a good one
- 1/2 cup water
-1/2 your favourite milk. I usually use a combination of unsweetened oat and almond milk. In Germany I choose Provamel milks but in the UK I love The Paleo Food co almond milk for its potency and purity. Hazelnut milk is also a great choice, I love IsolaBio or Rude Health.
1/3 teaspoon maca powder
1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Warm up the milk and water in a pan but be very careful NOT TO BOIL. You need it warm and steaming but around 80 degrees. Transfer into a blender, add the powders and blend until frothy.
You can also use a small hand mixer too to mix everything while in the pan.
To make mine I use this device that I love from Nespresso. It mixes, froths and warms up everything really nicely. Any other milk frother will do.
